Mary A. Ronan, Superintendent of CPS
Cincinnati Public Schools is a rich part of our city’s heritage. You certainly can’t travel far in this town and not run into someone who either graduated from, or is sending a child to, one of our schools.
I am very proud to say that I have spent my entire career as an educator for Cincinnati Public Schools. I have a daughter who attends one of our schools, and my husband is one of our district’s high school guidance counselors. Over the years, it has been my privilege to see, firsthand, the many examples of growth and achievement that take place in our classrooms every day.
In many cases, local media headlines don’t share the stories you really want to see…our students and teachers doing great things both inside the classroom and throughout our city. So, our partners at Strive created a Web site, www.IamCPS.org, to showcase the numerous ways in which we prepare our students for success throughout their lives.
IamCPS.org is all about celebrating the students, teachers, parents and partners that make Cincinnati Public Schools one of the most innovative and progressive urban districts in our country. So, check back often, because we have lots of wonderful stories to share!
