Walnut Hills High School Student is a Dream Maker

Graham Turner, a 9th-grade student at Walnut Hills High School who was diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile diabetes at age 6, received the 2009 Difference Maker Award from the Duke Energy Children's Museum at the Cincinnati Museum Center for his efforts to help fight the disease. Graham organizes an annual Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes event and has raised more than $20,000. He also visits schools to encourage his peers to take care of themselves and prevent the onset of diabetes in their own lives.
