Woodward’s Robotics Team Wins Award at Regional Competition


Woodward Career Technical High School's robotics team, the Woodward RoboDogs, received the Judges Award at the First Robotics Competiton — St. Louis Regional for their robot, DAWG II, which the team designed and built. The team competed in the Breakaway competiton, a soccer-based game. Competiton judges said they were impressed by the RoboDogs' sportsmanship, knowledge, gracious professionalism and tenacity. The RoboDogs include junior Crystal Solomon and sophomore Caleb Roberts. The team is mentored by parent Scott Roberts, teachers G. Doddy-Tacho and D. Hapner, team advisor R. Knudsen, and the members of the Thunderhawks robotics team of Lakota East. Congratulations on a job well done.
