In the Robotics Competition held at Shroder High School this month, the Aiken National Society of Black Engineers Junior Robotics Team, under the guidance of Mr. Hickman and Mr. Harth, SWOOPED the competition!
Going up against Hughes STEM, Oyler, Shroder, Taft IT and Walnut Hills high schools, Aiken was victorious in bringing home five trophies – ALL in 1st place!
Categories won include Best Display, Creativity, Floor Design, Robot Function Design and overall Total Points.
Even more exciting, they have been asked to attend regionals. As they plan for the trip, we congratulate the efforts of the sophomores, juniors and seniors that worked after school and during Ohio Graduation Test week to create 'Swoopie' (name of the robot).
