Cincinnati Public Schools was informed that nine recently submitted applications for Straight A Fund grants have been deemed “fiscally sustainable” and will advance to the formal review process. The applications included the district and four CPS schools — Hughes STEM, Shroder Paideia, Kilgour and Withrow University.
Straight A Fund grants are designed to encourage new ideas to solve problems, new ways to serve students and creative solutions that save money while improving service. Through a rigorous screening process, Ohio gives creative and cost-effective solutions the seed funding they need to get off the ground.
CPS’ applications were among 570 submitted by schools and districts throughout the state. The Ohio Department of Education anticipates final decisions to be made by December 17.
