Halloween was a pink affair at Pleasant Ridge Montessori School, as students abandoned the traditional orange and black in order to raise breast cancer awareness and earn a chance to tape their principal, Jenny Mauch, to a wall.
After an anonymous donor agreed to pay $1 for every student or staff member who wore pink on October 31, Principal Mauch agreed to be fastened to a wall with pink duct tape if at least 95 percent of students and staff participated. Needless to say, they did!
The effort raised $570 for the Susan B. Komen Foundation. We're not sure how long it took them to get Principal Mauch off the wall.
Congratulations of a fun and charitable event.
